Volunteer Spotlight – Yvonne Newman

Volunteer_Yvonne Newman_CostcoWe would like to brag about one of our valued volunteers, Yvonne Newman, who has graciously donated her time and her resources to the YWCA Spokane.

Yvonne works for the N. Division Costco and has represented her company as a guest speaker at two of our Job Club sessions. Job Club is a supportive networking group where our Women to Work participants engage with community professionals while developing employment skills and knowledge.

In addition to the time she commits, Yvonne has helped secure sponsorship of coffee station services for our program participants to enjoy while utilizing services. We received a month’s supply of cups, creamer, coffee, and plastic ware as well as other essentials. Thank you, Yvonne!

Yvonne has also helped the YWCA Spokane with food and beverages at other recent events including our YWCA All-Staff Summer Retreat and the YWCA Spokane Law Enforcement Appreciation Breakfast.

Community partners like Yvonne make a huge difference in the welcoming experience our participants feel when engaging in services. We deeply appreciate her support!!

If you or your organization would like to partner with the YWCA Spokane to sponsor an upcoming event or service for staff or participants, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@ywcaspokane.org.
