Thank You Premera Social Impact Fund!

YWCA Spokane would like to express our gratitude to Premera’s Social Impact Fund for supporting our mental health program for trauma survivors. This year has brought home the importance of mental health care as more people than ever report increased negative mental health symptoms related to isolation, job loss and health problems related to COVID-19.

Premera funding has allowed YWCA Spokane to effectively serve low-income, high need survivors this year in the mental health therapy program. We provide evidence-based, holistic mental health services to survivors of intimate partner violence and their families, and the generous support of partners like Premera helped us provide more than 1,700 hours of mental health therapy to 174 people last year, with 2 in 3 showing a decrease in PTSD scores.

We are incredibly grateful to Premera for providing critical care to our community on the front lines of the Covid-19 pandemic, and for their dedication to making a difference in the lives of every person we serve at YWCA Spokane. Thank you for joining us in such a difficult year, for your commitment to this work, and for helping to ensure YWCA Spokane’s vital services remain available.
