Thank You Kalispel Tribe and Northern Quest Resort & Casino for Your Incredible Support!
Thank You To The Kalispel Tribe, A YWCA Spokane Mission Partner
The Kalispel Tribe believes in being a strong community partner and strives to achieve that through its commitment to supporting its neighbors. Together with the Kalispel Tribe and Northern Quest Resort & Casino, YWCA Spokane is proud to be a partner in their unwavering goal to better the lives of future generations.
As one of our longest term donors of over 19 years, one of our valued Mission Partners, and YWCA Spokane’s largest contributor of unrestricted funds, the Kalispel Tribe and Northern Quest Resort & Casino plays a unique role in making so much of our work possible. Their critical financial commitment helps to bridge the gap between the expenses we incur while serving clients and the grants we receive from state, local, and private parties.
Kalispel Tribe’s Mission Partner Impact
Thank you Kalispel Tribe of Indians, 2019 Community Partner Award
YWCA Spokane’s 2020 impact would not have been possible without the support of The Kalispel Tribe and Northern Quest Resort & Casino.
Their mission partnership helps to ensure that YWCA Spokane’s free and confidential services are available to survivors of domestic violence, quality education is available to low-income children and families, and women can gain crucial life and job skills necessary for their economic advancement.
Their commitment to unrestricted giving allows us to apply the funds they donate to the area of greatest need. As the Covid-19 pandemic continues to require us to adapt and change as we work to meet the growing needs of our community, the flexibility these funds provide us is truly more precious than ever.
Thanks to the generosity of the Kalispel Tribe and Northern Quest Resort & Casino, YWCA Spokane was able to provide a critical foundation of support for over 16,000 women, men, children, and families in 2020 despite the challenges of the pandemic. With adaptations and adjustments made for health and safety, we were even able to continue providing in person preschool education in our ECEAP classrooms, and kept our confidential shelter open every single day of the year.
Below is a quote from a parent who benefited from our Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program this year. It is stories like these that the Kalispel Tribe and Northern Quest Resort & Casino make possible. We would not be able to do this work without their support. Together we are breaking cycles of trauma and bettering the lives of future generations.
“What I especially love is that not only are they caring for and teaching my child, but I’m learning as well. The fact that they take the time to share information that will make me a better parent and help me navigate parenthood has been amazing!” – YWCA Spokane Client
