helpLimited Capacity
There is an overwhelming need for shelter among survivors.
While we deeply wish to accommodate every individual in need, due to limited space and funding, we must prioritize the needs of survivors based on various critical factors.
We are committed to collaborating with our community’s sheltering response system to try to ensure that every survivor receives the support they need.
About the Shelter A Confidential Location
- Our shelter is located within the city limits at an undisclosed, secure location.
- We provide a large, home-like environment with shared communal areas, including a living room, kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms.
- Each family of two or more will have their own private bedroom.
- Residents share basic household tasks such as cleaning communal areas.
Realities of Limited Space A short term stay solution for severe situations
Our shelter is limited in size, with space to serve approximately 11 families at any given. We have to prioritize space for individuals experiencing high lethality situations. As a result, we often refer those seeking shelter to other safe locations.
We know pets are often an extension of one's family. Some shelters do not allow pets. We welcome your furry family members into our shelter whenever possible.
We do our best to support those who need additional support so they can successfully make a transition to a longer term option. However, due to limited resources and capacity, we are not always able to accommodate everyone's needs.
We encourage community members to join us in actively supporting this vital effort by contributing resources, raising awareness, and advocating for expanded services, knowing that together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of survivors seeking refuge and support.
