Racial Justice Challenge
Welcome to YWCA Spokane's 10-Day Racial Justice Challenge
By signing up, you’ve taken an important step toward deepening your understanding of topics and issues that are critical in Spokane.
We hope this Challenge inspires you to advocate for justice and equity within your own circles and within our greater community.
There is no better time than now to support actions that lead toward a more equitable community, one grounded in peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
Before You Get Started, We Invite You To:
Set Your Intentions
Take a moment to set your intention. Complete our short pre-challenge survey and reflect on what you hope to learn, unlearn, or better understand over the next 10 days. Consider also writing down your goals or sharing with a friend or accountability partner.
Hold Time to Reflect
Download our Challenge log. This reflection tool is designed to help participants explore how the information shared connects to their own experiences, perspectives, and actions.
Be in Community
Join a virtual debrief on May 27. Many participants value having a dedicated space to share the reflections, insights, and questions that surfaced during the Challenge. This supportive environment fosters deeper understanding of the topics, while shared accountability helps sustain the momentum built along the way.

We want to thank YWCA Greater Cleveland and YWCA Dayton for inspiring us to create our own challenge series in Spokane. This idea originated with Dr. Eddie Moore, Jr. and Debby Irving and has been adapted by many organizations across the country.
