About Mackenzie

Mackenzie works at Kaiser Aluminum as an HR & Training Coordinator. She graduated with her Bachelors in Psychology from Whitworth University and graduated with her MBA from Washington Governors University. Mackenzie is a proud member of the Cowlitz Indian Tribe.

Mackenzie was first connected to the YWCA through serving as Committee Chair for Kaiser’s Community Engagement Team. She was drawn to the important work the YWCA is doing to support and empower women within our community and continue the fight to eliminate racism. She is excited to be serving as a committee member for the Evening in Tuscany event in July and this will be her fourth year volunteering on the committee. As a passionate advocate of the YWCA, she is committed to advancing the boards mission through her experience in Human Resources, event planning, and dedication.

"The YWCA is an integral part of the Spokane community. I am grateful to be a small part of the work the YWCA does to empower women and eliminate racism." - Mackenzie Thompson

In her free time, Mackenzie loves spending time with her husband and dog, traveling, playing board games, and spending time at Priest Lake.

Thank you for your service, Mackenzie!
