Audre Lorde once said, “I am not free while any woman is unfree, even when her shackles are very different from my own.” This is one of Kiana's favorite quotes. "I believe wholeheartedly that the YWCA with its mission of eliminating racism and empowering women, is working toward justice, liberation and healing every day for womxn, men, children and families," says Kiana.
The board of directors is committed to YWCA Spokane’s vital work as a provider of critical social services in the Spokane region. Community leaders volunteer substantial time, skills, funds and other resources to help the organization carry out its mission to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families and strengthen the Spokane community. Thank you Kiana for your amazing work in our community!
