Jaime Stacy – Bio

 

Jaime Stacy is an educator in Spokane Public Schools and the Founder and Executive Director of SWAG, Strong Women Achieving Greatness. SWAG has served over 800 participants in the Spokane community and continues to partner with organizations to bring resources, experiences, and hope to young women as they define and pursue their own success.

Jaime is devoted to giving back to her community. Among her many accomplishments are her election as Vice-President of the NAACP Spokane Branch, member of Delta Kappa Gamma Spokane chapter, and member of the Mead Citizens Advisory Committee. Jaime has been recognized and awarded multiple times for her remarkable leadership, including the Trendsetter Award as an Emerging Leader in the Inland Northwest and PICCE's (Partners In Campus Community Engagement) 2024 Community Innovator of the Year.

Jaime made history as the first female African American candidate to run for Mead School Board. She founded the group, Hope Rising in Mead, and continues to utilize her voice and platform to uplift the community's sense of hope and unity.

Jaime graduated from Sikeston Senior High School in southeast Missouri in 1995. She went on to earn a degree in Business from Metro Business College, and a Bachelor of Science from Grand Canyon University.

Jaime is the author of two children’s books, and hopes to write more books in the future.

Her desire is to always spread love; to be a faithful example of strength, courage, and honor.

Jaime has partnered with YWCA Spokane in a number of ways including leading our annual youth focused empowerment opportunities: Transformations Camp and Youth Self-Care Summit.
