YWCA Spokane is proud to take this opportunity to highlight one of the deeply valued members of our Board of Directors, Chantel Black. Each member of our board is passionate about our community and dedicates their time, talent, and resources towards the fulfillment of our mission. On behalf of our team, those we serve, and our community we thank you for all you do!

Chantel is the Director of Admissions and Registration/Registrar at Spokane Community College, a role she has held for eight years. She has spent the last 23 years of her career working in both four-year and community colleges supporting students in achieving their dreams.

She has a Master’s degree in Adult and Organizational Learning from the University of Idaho and a Bachelor’s degree in Theology. She is also part of Leadership Spokane Class of 2025 and serves in a professional capacity on multiple statewide and national committees and workgroups to further educational access and equity.

When not at work she can often be found traveling, camping, knitting, or enjoying time with friends and family.

Cari Grandstaff – Bio

Cari Grandstaff began her career with Washington Trust Bank in 2024, as their AVP, Administrative Officer. Prior to that, she worked for the Kalispel Tribe and Northern Quest for almost 15 years as their Director of Administration.
