Thank you for serving as a YWCA Spokane Board of Director from 2019 - 2021!
We are deeply grateful for the time, care, and leadership you shared as a member of our Board. Your thoughtful guidance, commitment to our mission, and willingness to lend your voice and perspective helped strengthen YWCA Spokane and advance our work to build a more equitable and safe community. The impact of your service will continue to be felt through the programs, partnerships, and people you helped support. Anna Franklin has worked in healthcare for over 25 years, and is currently the Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion officer for the Providence Eastern Washington and Montana region. Anna is a leader with the ability to dissect and articulate the complexities of health inequities. Her deep knowledge of the social and political determinants of health are instrumental in Providence’s efforts to create a more equitable and inclusive society. Anna demonstrates her commitment to opportunity for all and fosters change by serving on a variety of non-profit boards with an emphasis on racial and social justice. Anna holds an MBA from West Texas A&M University, and a bachelor's from Eastern Washington University in Urban and Regional Planning.
Anna believes in the power of connections and relationships, and is a mentor and champion for local youth — especially young women of color. The board of directors is committed to YWCA Spokane’s vital work as a provider of critical social services in the Spokane region. Community leaders volunteer substantial time, skills, funds and other resources to help the organization carry out its mission to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families and strengthen the Spokane community.
