Alethea Dumas Bio
Alethea Sharea Dumas is a passionate advocate for equity, antiracism, restorative justice, and healing. After graduating from Lewis and Clark High School in 2012, she pursued her academic journey at Washington State University, where she earned double bachelor’s degrees in Women’s Studies and Critical Culture, Gender, and Race Studies in 2016, alongside minors in Human Development, Popular Culture, and Sociology.
With nearly seven years of experience working in the nonprofit sector, Alethea is committed to disrupting and dismantling systems of oppression. Her dedication to creating positive change is further reflected in her roles on the boards of several impactful nonprofits and foundations.
Alethea’s story is also one of personal growth. She is a work in progress, striving daily to be the best version of herself while embracing every step of her journey. Her love for sunflowers, passion for music, and joy in singing remind her of the beauty in life, even as she continues her tireless work toward a more loving, just, and equitable world for all.
