Join YWCA Spokane in marching for the rights and equality of all people! Members of our organization will be marching to show our support of promoting peace, justice, dignity, and freedom for all.
Along with marching, our Community Education and Outreach Coordinator, Nicole Nimens, along with other YWCA Spokane advocates will be present to teach about our mission of eliminating racism, empowering women, and creating a safe and healthy community for all people. We will have materials for people of all age groups, and are happy to provide any resources needed. Stop by our booth and speak with an advocate about the ways you can help end violence in our community, about teaching kiddos principles of healthy relationships, or simply to learn more about our mission!

Women+s March 2019 Mission Statement:
In alignment with the National Women’s March platform, we adopt the unity principles related to Reproductive Rights, LGBTQIA Rights, Workers’ Rights, Civil Rights, Disability Rights, Immigration Rights, Environmental Justice, and Ending Violence.
To support and honor these principles, Women+s March Spokane endeavors to harness the power of diverse women in our community to create transformative social change; promote civil rights for every human regardless of age, gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, ability, religion, housing or economic status; amplify the work of community leaders and organizations to educate, mobilize, dialogue and engage our community in collective action to advance justice, equity, freedom, and inclusion.
Join us at pride!
YWCA Spokane is proud to march in the 2019 Pride Parade and table at the 2019 Rainbow Festival! Come march with our advocates as we show our support for the LGBT community.
For those who want to march with YWCA Spokane, we will gather at the red radio wagon in Riverfront Park at 11:40am. For those who arrive a bit later, you can find us with our “Serves All, Proudly.” banner, in the march line up. Please consider arriving early as parking may become difficult to find.
PRIDE 2019: To Thrive, Not Just Survive.
This year’s parade theme is “To Thrive, Not Just Survive.” The parade and festival also honor the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, a turning point in the gay rights movement. Help us honor all the brave individuals who fought back against police raids at the Stonewall Inn in 1969, whose courage still influence communities today.
