Kate Sowers Joins World YWCA Council 2019

YWCA Spokane is proud to announce that one of our valued team members, Kate Sowers, has recently been awarded a scholarship to join the World YWCA Council.

Kate, who currently supports our local agency as the Development Coordinator, is excited to travel to Johannesburg, South Africa this November to come together with YWCA representatives from all regions of the world.

“Just five scholarships to attend the Council were awarded to individuals that are formally affiliated with YWCA as a staff member or volunteer,” shares Regina Malveaux, CEO of YWCA Spokane. “With a scholarship process that is incredibly competitive, we were extremely excited but not surprised that our valued and extremely talented Kate was selected.”

We look forward to Kate’s return from this incredible opportunity so she can share with us about her experience and what she learned. Stay tuned!
