July 2021: Bra Drive
This July and August, YWCA Spokane is asking the Spokane community to empower women with donations of new bras to Our Sister’s Closet. Empowerment and wellbeing are at the core of Our Sister’s Closet services and offering brand new undergarments to individuals experiencing homelessness, family violence or other challenging life circumstances is an important way we can support our sisters in need, with dignity. Everyone deserves to have clean undergarments as part of their clothing options and our team is grateful to the Spokane community for their continual support of Our Sister’s Closet.
Donations are currently open and are abiding by CDC guidelines. Donations are accepted in-person at the YWCA Spokane office or through our YWCA Spokane Donation Wish Lists. If you donate in person please drop the items off at the YWCA front desk on Tuesdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Our office is located at 930 N. Monroe St

Double Your Impact
Purchasing your donations at Fred Meyers, Amazon, or Yoke’s Fresh Market? Be sure to sign up for their community giving programs, and these vendors will give a percentage of your purchase back to our agency! Just select YWCA Spokane as your non-profit of choice and double your impact.
Future OSC Drives
OSC Donation Drives will continue to take place throughout 2021 as clients express needs. Future scheduled drives are listed below.
- September 2021: new socks
- November 2021: new & gently used coats
- January 2022: new toiletries (deodorant, shaving supplies, full sized shampoos/conditioner)
The Our Sister’s Closet Mission
Women are often left without the resources to obtain these crucial items due to finances and other outstanding circumstances. This drive provides women with tools to lessen experienced hardship in obtaining common and basic necessities through which women may begin their path to independence and recovery.
Our Sister’s Closet is a donation-based, free clothing boutique servicing women who suffer from financial hardship. Our mission is to support these women in making essentials accessible while encouraging others to engage in this effort through donations, awareness, and support.
