How Monthly Donations Advance Our Mission
Monthly donors to YWCA Spokane change lives in our community. Supporters of our work made it possible to help more than 16,500 people in 2020 and we couldn’t be more grateful.
I have a reason to smile when I wake up. I am lucky to be alive. Your team listened to me and jumped to help me when I had no one in the world. I was on my last bit of strength when I came into the YWCA and today I have the strength to help others. You changed my entire world.
-Civil-Legal Client
As our needs continue to change, recurring donations give the YWCA the opportunity to assign funds to appropriate departments, services, and personnel without the strict confines that accompany some donations and grants. Consistent, monthly gifts help our skilled teams meet needs right when they arise.
Just last week, our law enforcement partners shared with us that they are receiving 90-150 domestic violence related calls every single night. In addition, we have witnessed a 25% spike in calls to our 24-hour helpline since January. As the stressors of long-term isolation and economic struggle continue, our domestic violence safe shelter and alternative housing options have maintained maximum capacity and we struggle to meet the need for legal services and protection orders.
These are a few of the reasons we are asking you to join us and make an impact this year. Consistent, monthly donations ensure we have flexible funding to help women, children, and families when they need us most.
I feel cared about in a way that I’ve never known before. Your services are a God-send in a world that seemed dark and hopeless to me when I felt I had nowhere to turn and I am ever so grateful!

With your help, YWCA Spokane is providing trauma-informed, comprehensive services to an average of 322 women and children every week! That’s 46 lives impacted every day because of you! Please consider giving recurring donations to YWCA Spokane so that together we are able to empower women in our community.
