Honor lives lost to domestic violence, uplift survivors, and stand united as a community calling for change.

Local domestic violence service providers throughout Spokane invite you to attend a powerful evening of remembrance and hope. This gathering will also serve as the launch of a month-long effort to inspire community members to take action this October during Domestic Violence Action Month (DVAM).

  • Attire: Guests are encouraged to wear purple for domestic violence awareness
  • Program: Mayor Lisa Brown will be speaking as well as representatives from
    • Kalispel Tribe Victim Assistance Services,
    • Lutheran Community Services Northwest,
    • Mujeres in Action Spokane,
    • Spokane Regional Domestic Violence Coalition,
    • Stop the Silence Spokane,
    • Yoyot Sp'q'n'i, and
    • YWCA Spokane.

While the vigil marks the official launch of Domestic Violence Action Month, we ask members of the Spokane community to join us in taking action throughout the month of October and beyond to support survivors and to end domestic violence.
