임무 수행 중

Helping individuals, children, and families overcome barriers in order to accomplish their goals and achieve healthier and more fulfilling lives, since 1903.

We are committed to advancing equity, supporting survivors through crisis, creating pathways towards healing, and preventing future violence.

Today our areas of focus include supporting victims of intimate partner domestic violence (inclusive of all genders), fostering economic advancement of women, providing community education, and promoting early childhood education and support for families.

In addition to providing free, confidential, and trauma-informed programs and services to over 14,000 members of our community in and around the Spokane area every year, YWCA Spokane is also focused on breaking generational cycles of violence and confronting racial and social justice issues impacting our clients and our community and serving as a voice for what is right, fair, and just.

Impact Areas

We work where we’re needed most with people who face the greatest barriers to safety, stability, and opportunity. By working at the intersections of inequality, poverty, and intimate partner domestic violence, YWCA Spokane is able to disrupt longstanding societal patterns of trauma.

형평성 향상

Racial and gender equity is at the center of our work.

We know that not all people are treated equally. Many people in our community experience overlapping injustices due to their race, gender, accessibly needs, socioeconomic background, and more. YWCA Spokane is a multi-issue social justice organization that approaches social inequity on multiple levels.

Support through Crisis

Women & LGBTQIA2S+ individuals experience the highest rates of intimate partner violence.

We embrace our mission through a continuum of crisis response services including wrap-around support for survivors of intimate partner domestic violence which includes a 24hr helpline, shelter, housing support, safety planning, financial advocacy, clothing & necessities, and support with legal services.

Pathways toward Healing

Time to rest, recover, rebuild, learn, and connect with others is critical to healing trauma.

We understand that time to heal and grow in a safe, supportive, and confidential environment can be key in accomplishing set goals after experiencing trauma. We offer trauma-informed, restorative services for trauma survivors. Groups, classes, community spaces, mental health services, and learning opportunities are aimed at supporting healing and wellness while building a supportive and thriving community.

Violence Prevention

Domestic Violence is 100% preventable and we are 100% committed to violence prevention.

Violence prevention is built into all of our programs and services, including those responding directly to crisis. Our prevention efforts create change at the individual, relationship, community, and societal levels through strategies that address the root causes of violence, create shifts in culture, build skills, heal trauma, and promote healthy relationships.
