Other Ways to Give

Overview

There are many ways to get involved with YWCA Spokane! Here are a few more ways to provide support as an individual or organization.

Host Your Own Donation Drive

Conduct a focused effort in 4 Easy Steps:

  1. Tell us your plan.
    • We can advertise your drive on social media, inform you of our current needs, and schedule a time to receive donations. Let us know at ceteam@ywcaspokane.org.
  2. Call on your community.
    • Are you part of a book club or church group? Do you work in an office? Want to do something fun and different for your birthday or another important life events? Gather and inform your group of people to help and let them spread the word!
  3. Decide what you want to donate.
    • The following items are generally always needed:
      • Bras and panties (bras can be gently used or new, panties must be new and in packaging)
      • Hygiene items such as feminine hygiene products, full sized shampoos and conditioners, deodorant, dental care products, etc.
      • Socks (must be new in packaging)
      • Jeans and leggings
      • Note: The most successful drives focus on gathering a specific much needed item from the list above.
  4. Schedule a time to drop off donations collected from your drive:
    • call 509-326-1190 or
    • email ceteam@ywcaspokane.org

Historically and today, Black, Indigenous, and Latino people are more likely to be victims and less likely to benefit equally from gun rights due to systemic inequality.

Day 3: Entrepreneurship

Starting a business is more than making money, it’s about turning your ideas into something real and helping others. Entrepreneurs create jobs and new products.
