Twahan Simultaneous Bio

Twahan Simultaneous is a nationally competitive slam poet, performer, and former Spokane Poetry Slam Champion known for his energetic and thought-provoking work. His poetry covers everything from gentrification and globalization to Darwinism and even ice cream, blending storytelling with a smooth, rhythmic flow that pulls people in. His words don’t just entertain, they make you think and feel.

He’s been featured at some of the biggest arts and culture events in the Inland Northwest, including Terrain, the Spokane Arts Awards, The Root Experience Festival, and the 50 Hour Slam. Whether he’s performing on stage or sharing his work in intimate settings, Twahan knows how to connect with an audience and leave a lasting impression.

Beyond performing, he’s all about building community through poetry. As the co-host of Broken Mic, Washington’s longest-running weekly poetry open mic, he helps create a space where writers of all backgrounds can share their voices, grow in their craft, and connect with others. Twahan believes in the power of words to bring people together, celebrate individuality, and inspire creativity, and he’s dedicated to making sure those voices are heard.
