YWCA Spokane is proud to take this opportunity to highlight one of the deeply valued members of our Board of Directors, Allena Warren.

As a board member of the YWCA Spokane, Allena helps guide and support an organization dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

About Allena

Allena Warren joined Providence in 2021 and currently serves as a Senior Communication Specialist. Her role involves capturing and sharing the compelling stories of patients and caregivers, shining a light on their experiences to build connections and understanding within the community.

By managing community relations, Allena plays a vital role in enhancing engagement, elevating programs, and fostering partnerships across the Inland Northwest.

Allena earned her degree in Communications and Public Relations from Eastern Washington University. Family is at the heart of who Allena is and guides her interactions with the world. It has shaped her values, grounded her perspective, and instilled in her a deep appreciation for connection, empathy and service.

Storytelling is something that comes naturally, and she views it as a powerful tool for building understanding, fostering equity and reminding people of their inherent dignity.

Allena is grateful to serve on the YWCA board. Also, she is enthusiastic about contributing to the organization's mission and is eager to collaborate in advancing opportunities for all individuals to thrive.

In her free time, Allena enjoys spending time outdoors, especially near the water, which has always been her happy place. She loves going on walks, exploring new spaces, and embracing opportunities that allow her to try new things and stay adventurous.

"I am committed to community and believe that meaningful change begins by amplifying voices and stories that are often overlooked or unheard." - Allena Warren
