2023 Board of Directors – Nicole Jenkins-Rosenkrantz

THANK YOU

Each of our wonderful Board of Directors is so passionate about our community and dedicates their time, talent, and resources towards the fulfillment of our mission. On behalf of our team, those we serve, and our community we thank you for all you do!

Nicole Jenkins-Rosenkrantz has worked for Spokane Public School District since April 2018 and is now the Director of Community Relations & Diversity Training. Nicole is a current member of YWCA’s Board of Directors and has been involved in our Women of Achievement planning committee. She also co-chaired of our Racial & Social Justice Committee for two years.

Prior to Spokane Public School District, Nicole worked at Spokane County Juvenile Court for seventeen years in various roles. She is passionately engaged in on-going efforts to reduce the disparities experienced by historically underserved families and youth of color. She believes that her work in the juvenile justice system and public school system gives her a unique perspective and connections that can lead to positive collaborations for systemic change.

Nicole views championing the creation of just and equitable outcomes for historically underestimated communities as not just a hope and a wish but a necessity. She is a passionate disruptor of the school to prison pipeline through creation of innovative programs. Nicole is a proud recipient of the YWCA’s 2020 Women of Achievement Carl Maxey Racial & Social Justice Award.

“If you are free, you need to free somebody else. If you have some power, then your job is to empower somebody else.” ~ Maya Angelou

“This quote by Ms. Angelou encompasses my why behind joining the YWCA Board of Directors,” states Nicole. “I walk through this world looking to be in beloved community with my neighbors. The YWCA’s ONE Mission to empower women and eliminate racism is a perfect fit. Let’s get free together!”
