A Client Story
ECEAP's Impact on a Parent
In 2023, my marriage ended. After being a stay at home mom for almost 8 years I needed to find care for my youngest so I could find a full time job.
After enrolling my youngest in ECEAP I was very shortly after able to find a full time job that I love, doing work that I deeply care about.
I didn't expect the level of support that I receive as a parent. At our first conference, we talked about my goals and my experience during this transitional time in our life. I feel like they know me, and they really know my child; they see me and they are cheering us on every step of the way.
My child loves going to school. I've seen huge emotional growth since he started. I'll never forget the dinner at home when he perfectly defined self control for the whole family, he knew exactly what it meant and the importance of being able to control himself. That was a wow moment.
We found the YWCA ECEAP program when I was at a loss, not really sure how to make things work with new life circumstances. It was a pivotal time in our lives, but now we are all growing together; my child at school, me at work, and us together at home as a new version of our family.
