Our Mission
YWCA Spokane is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
One Mission, Not Two
At our mission’s core, our most essential job is to create a more socially just world for future generations.
While YWCA Spokane remains committed to the development and empowerment of all members of our community, the ongoing structural and institutional inequities in our society compel us to acknowledge and address systemic inequalities for women and girls, especially those of color. This is why we see our mission of eliminating racism and empowering women as one mission, not two.
The Work
At YWCA Spokane, we are committed to providing free and confidential programs and services, confronting racial and social justice issues impacting our clients and community, breaking generational cycles of violence, and serving as a voice for what is right, fair, and just.
Our Values
Community Coming Together
Since 1903, YWCA Spokane has been working together with the Spokane community to provide life changing and life saving services.
