Y Women

(formerly Little Black Dress)

Grab your girlfriends, and come make meaningful connections while benefiting the critical programs of the YWCA Spokane!

LaRiveSpaNight2016_GroupPicColorThe Y Women community (formerly Little Black Dress) is a dedicated group of amazing women who, while enjoying each other’s company during a girls night out, also generate important financial support and community awareness to help ensure all women in our community have access to the support and services that help them heal, grow, and thrive.

Inspirational and educational mission moments are provided at each event throughout the year to keep this diverse group of engaged women informed on issues related to domestic violence, trauma support and education for children, job readiness for women, and racial and social injustices that exist.

Attend our next event

Join us Thursday August 17th at YWCA’s rooftop patio, 930 N Monroe St, Spokane, WA 99201, 5:30pm – 7:30pm.

Watch the sunset while enjoying an evening of local wines, appetizers, live music, connection, and support for the YWCA Spokane. Each guest will receive a complimentary cocktail and have the opportunity to show support for the YWCA through wonderful raffle prizes and a bra and underwear drive.

Three main events are held at different community partner locations throughout Spokane each year.  Each event is uniquely customized with a theme appropriate to the location of the venue.

In addition to these 3 main gathering opportunities, the LBD community is encouraged to coordinate and host additional fun gathering in support of community partnership and awareness building for YWCA Spokane programs and services. Contact Emma Cameron at emmac@ywcaspokane.org or call 509-789-9307 to learn more about this opportunity.

Join The Y Women Community

LaRiveSpaNight2016_MembersY Women of the YWCA empowers the next generations of women in the Spokane area to find meaningful and inspiring relationships within the network of strong, professional, and engaged YW supporters. Joining this community will provide you with opportunities to network and develop lasting and meaningful relationships with other women who care about their community and want to get involved in fun engaging ways.

Although we have chosen to make events open to the public in order to encourage a broader audience of women to participate, LBD members are encouraged to make a $25 a month financial contribution to support the YWCA Spokane’s programs and services.  We encourage those who are unable to make a consistent financial contribution to consider supporting the YWCA Spokane through volunteer efforts and by advocating for the agency.

Contact Dana Morris, Development Director, at 509.789.9304 or email danam@ywcaspokane.org if you are interested in joining the Y Women Society in support of the YWCA Spokane.
