Hope for the Holidays 2025 – Recap

As this year’s Hope for the Holidays adopt-a-family wishlist program comes to a close, we are grateful to share that all 90 family wishlists were adopted!

This remarkable outcome reflects the deep commitment of our community to support families who are working to regain safety, stability, and independence.

Hope for the Holidays connects donors with individuals and families served through YWCA Spokane's Opportunity Center, Early Childhood Education and Assistance Program (ECEAP), and Domestic Violence Safe Shelter. Families received essential household items, gift cards, and holiday gifts tailored to their specific needs. These contributions help ease financial strain, reduce stress, and create moments of relief and joy during a season that can be especially challenging.

"Hope for Holidays has been a true blessing for our family during the Christmas and New Year season. With four little kids, this time of year can be overwhelming, but their kindness brings so much joy, warmth, and relief into our home. Thanks to their support, our children feel the magic of the holidays, and we are deeply grateful."❤️

- ECEAP Family

Contributions of all sizes made a meaningful difference. A parent could choose gifts for their children using a gift card. A family was able to stock their kitchen with cookware and dishes they will use and love for years to come. A survivor now doesn't have to worry about transportation or the added burden of holiday shopping. For families navigating crisis or transition, these resources provide a sense of normalcy and care during a stressful time.

Thank You to Our Donors

We extend our sincere thanks to the individuals, workplaces, and groups who adopted family wishlists or provided financial support this season. Your generosity ensured that every family in the program received assistance. We are deeply grateful for the thoughtfulness, time, and care that went into selecting, gathering, and delivering these gifts.

Your generosity sends a powerful message to families: you are seen, you are supported, and your community cares.

Thank you for making this holiday season a little brighter for those we serve and for caring for others at a time when they need it most.

Thank you to our Volunteers & Staff

This campaign would not be possible without the dedication of our volunteers and YWCA Spokane staff.

Volunteers carefully received and organized gifts and welcomed donors during drop-off days. Staff collected wishlists, coordinated logistics, and ensured each household was thoughtfully matched with a donor who understood their specific needs.

Thank you for your care, coordination, and commitment to creating a meaningful and dignified experience for everyone involved.

Thank You to our Sponsor

We are grateful to this year’s Hope for the Holidays signature sponsor, Amazon, for supporting YWCA Spokane’s vital programs and helping make this campaign possible.

Together, you helped make this holiday season brighter for the families we serve.
