    • Join us for a unique, guided tour inside YWCA Spokane. Walk away with an understanding of the vast array of services provided, YWCA’s critical impact on the community, and what you can do to get involved throughout the year.

  • February Is Black History Month
    • Special thanks to Yvonne for compiling a fantastic list of events and activities to engage in this February during Black History Month. Take a moment to check it out!

  • Teen Dating Violence Action Month
    • Each February, YWCA Spokane engages the community is activities that help spread awareness about teen dating violence and it’s prevalence in our community. 1 in 3 youth experience dating violence! Help us spread awareness about healthy relationships and resources that are available for youth who need support.
      • When: Throughout February
      • Where: Online engagement and in-person council opportunities for youth
      • Cost: Free.
      • Bonus: Raise awareness around the realities of abuse within relationships among teenagers and youth and take action to interrupt the cycle of violence by supporting teenagers and youth who are or have been affected by relationship violence.

  • 2020 Census | #YWomenVote
    • Every 10 years, every household in America is surveyed on demographics that will determine how billions of Federal funds are distributed, the number of seats we have in Congress, where critical infrastructure is provided, and much more. This year, YWCA Spokane is joining national and local efforts to make the census as accessible as possible to the populations we serve.

      • Where: Varies
      • Cost: Free.
      • Bonus: Learn why the census matters so much and what you can do to support participation.

  • Stand Against Racism 2020
    • This year, YWCA Spokane’s courageous conversation will focus on racial justice issues that pose barriers to civic engagement for communities of color.
      • When: April 23rd | Arrive between 5:00pm – 5:30pm | Program is 5:30pm – 7:00pm
      • Where: MLK Jr. / East Central Community Center
      • Cost: Free and open to the public (registration required)
      • Bonus: food and drinks will be provided

  • Schedule a Domestic Violence 101 Training
    • It takes a whole community to end domestic violence (DV), and the first step is to understand the issue. YWCA Spokane’s DV Training is a great way to get your organization involved in ending the silence surrounding domestic violence.
      • When: Flexible times to meet your groups scheduling needs.
      • Where: At a location of your choosing.
      • Cost: Free.
      • Bonus: Each training is customized to the group, organization, church, business, etc and will last between 1.5 and 5 hours.  Training can be adjusted to serve a wide variety of audiences, from 15 people to 100 people. Training is open to experts and beginners and may be made public or private.

  • Join Our Impact Partner Circle With A Recurring Donation To YWCA Spokane
    • Consider joining YWCA Spokane’s community of Impact Partners by activating (or increasing) a monthly donation today. Your sustainable gift creates sustainable change in the lives of the thousands of women, children, and families we serve in Spokane each year.

  • Love the Shelter By Furnishing A Room
    • Help create a beloved community for women and children who are staying at our domestic violence safe shelter after fleeing an abusive relationship. Make room for safety, healing, and new beginnings by sponsoring the furnishings of one or more of our shelter rooms.
      • When: Ongoing until each room is furnished.
      • Where: Donate online or contact shelter@ywcaspokane.org or 509-863-2882 for more information.
      • Cost: Varies depending on room and current need.
      • Bonus: Your contributions help create trauma-sensitive, compassionate spaces that are conducive to healing for women and children escaping domestic violence.

  • Gift-In-Kind YWCA Spokane Donation Wishlist
    • We count on the support of generous community supporters like you to donate new and gently used items in support of the 14,000+ women, children, and families we serve each year. The need is great and continuous. We can’t do this work alone! Thank you so much for the many ways you show your support!
      • When: Ongoing need
      • Where: Drop off gathered donations at YWCA Spokane, 930 N Monroe St, Spokane, WA 99201, Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm. Donations can be left outside our front desk within the atrium during evenings and weekends in alignment with YMCA gym hours.
      • Cost: A full heart knowing you made someone’s day with your donation.
      • Bonus: You help us meet the needs of those we serve. You rock!!
