Meet the moderator
Lara Estaris, she/they
Equity Coordinator, YWCA Spokane
Lara joined YWCA Spokane as the Equity Coordinator in April of 2022. She has been critical in refining, imagining, and applying new direction and purpose to this area of the agency’s work. The addition of this role continues to strengthen the agency’s social justice work and collaborate with other aligned community organizations. Having her own experience with intimate partner abuse helps her stay mission-focused. She strives to lift up those underrecognized and share their stories.
She’s also quite fond of waffles and can be found underneath her weighted blanket watching reruns of Great British Baking Show with her dog, Lady Bird.
