International Women’s Day 2018 – Spokane
Now, more than ever, there’s a strong call-to-action to press forward and progress gender parity.
IWD 2018 – SPOKANE: LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD
Join us for Spokane’s celebration of International Women’s Day 2018, as we gather to motivate and unite friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive.
This year’s local event will press forward and progress gender parity by focusing on the power of letting our voices be heard. Enjoy inspirational workshops, a resource fair, and a powerful keynote speech.
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: SANDY WILLIAMS
We are honored to have Sandy Williams as our Keynote Speaker this year. Williams is an accomplished, well known activist, and creator of The Black Lens News. She will facilitate a powerful discussion focused on Hearing the Untold Stories.
A DAY FULL OF ACTIVITY
Following Sandy’s keynote there will be interactive and empowering workshops for participants to enjoy. In addition, there will be a tabling event to give attendees a chance to obtain resources in our community and to network with organizations.

- Recognizing and Resisting Discrimination, by Kate Burke, City Council Member and Bethany Montgomery, Chair of Power 2 the Poetry
