Deferred Action is a form of prosecutorial discretion that provides a work permit & relief from removal for two years to certain eligible undocumented youth. y Many immigrant women are denied fair wages, safe work environments, adequate healthcare & other benefits/working conditions that men, higher wage workers & US-born women enjoy. y Any discussion of immigration policies must prioritize the safety of immigrant women, girls & their families, who are often victims of violence, trafficking & labor violations.

This unearths the classic definition of racism, power & racial prejudice. Participants will examine & deconstruct the roots of racism & issues stemming from racism. y This guide helps to understand and educate on the use of microaggressions & use cultural humility to understand one’s own privileges & how to intervene. y The concept of white privilege can be challenging to grasp. Privilege is not a pass, but an unearned benefit, often unintentionally cashed in. It must be denied & challenged consciously. y
