Thank you to the Hagan Foundation their Incredible Contribution to YWCA Spokane!

Gracias a la Fundación Hagan for your commitment to youth and education in our community!

With your support, YWCA Spokane’s Prevention Team will have the opportunity to introduce a new program focused on healthy relationships, empowerment, and equality called Y3. The program will consist of student leadership groups. The focus of Y3 groups will be to encourage a healthy school environment and promote skills and behaviors that foster and reinforce healthy relationships. Y3 groups will be to create opportunities for students to volunteer in community activities and connect to useful and important community networks and resources.

We feel a deep sense of gratitude toward the Hagan Foundation for their dedication to helping children in our region succeed. Based on the mission of their foundation’s founder, Dr. Cornelius E. Hagan Jr., this organization truly succeeds in “providing the least amount of money will do the most good for the greatest number and will provide the opportunities and tools to support education in its broadest sense with an emphasis on youth.” With the support of the Hagan Foundation, YWCA Spokane will have the ability to serve teens and youth through teaching teens healthy relationship practices, as well as prevent intimate partner violence from happening before it begins.
