"The work of the YWCA Spokane is inspiring to me, not as a victim of domestic violence or racism, but as a mother, wife, family member and friend to many affected by these relational and cultural atrocities. The YWCA aggregates resources and thoughtfully deploys funding and human capital in a way that supports the transition of the vulnerable to the powerful. This demanding, gritty, aspirational work offers hope and help those who have the audacity to change the trajectory of their lives. To offer any perspective, talent or treasure I possess to further this work is an honor." - Candy
Candy was an active member of the Lewis & Clark High School Booster Club during her daughter’s high school years and currently serves on the boards of Leadership Spokane and YWCA. Candy, her husband and daughter are world travelers, love books and growing (eating) tomatoes.
