Thank You to the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program for Your Impactful Gift!
Thank you to the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program for your grant to benefit YWCA Spokane’s Safe Shelter!
Because of their amazing support, YWCA Spokane’s Safe Shelter will be able to continue to provide emergency support to survivors of Intimate Partner Domestic Violence and their children. The Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program aims to provide shelter, food, and supportive services to individuals and families who have economic emergencies; as we know that survivors of Intimate Partner Domestic Violence are especially economically disadvantaged, this program truly allows survivors to escape violence without the worry losing basic needs like shelter or food. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program for their support!
A special thanks to Spokane County United Way for their support in receiving this grant! Spokane County United Way represents the local branch of the Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program, and ensures that emergency shelters like ours receive the support they need. Spokane County United Way has been one of YWCA Spokane’s greatest partners in our work, and we cannot thank them enough for their partnership!

“I’ve used almost every one of the services here and it’s changed the trajectory of my life. I was thinking this morning, if it wasn’t for YWCA Spokane I can honestly say I don’t even know if I’d be alive. I was ready to give up. This place has been a huge part of changing the course of my life. It’s the people here. It’s been amazing.”- YWCA Spokane Client
