About YWCA Spokane’s 14-Day Racial Equity & Social Justice Challenge
This #YWCAEquityChallenge was originally developed by Dr. Eddie Moore, Jr. and Debby Irving and has been adapted by many organizations across the country. Our local challenge was brought to you by YWCA Spokane’s Racial and Social Justice Committee and was designed to help community members create dedicated time and space within their schedule to build more effective social justice habits, particularly around issues dealing with race, power, privilege, and leadership.
This challenge is accessible to anyone interested in learning more about racial equity and social justice and examining these issues in our own communities. This is an opportunity to dive deeper into racial equity and social justice. Thank you for accepting this challenge!

The 14-Day Challenge
Each challenge includes prompts suggesting you take a few moments each day to build more effective social justice habits by reading an article, listening to a podcast, or reflecting on a personal experience.
This challenge provides not only critical information and historical context to better understand systemic racism; we hope it proves to be a catalyst for ongoing participation in racial and social justice efforts that help to create a fair, just, and equitable community.
Consider inviting your friends, family, and co-workers to join you in powerful and courageous dialog and action by moving through the below challenge topics together.
