Thank You For Taking The Challenge

Thank You For Joining YWCA For Our Learn & Give Challenge

It is our hope that you walk away with a deeper sense of what survivors go through, what resources are available, and how you can help.

Change Requires Action From All Of Us

Domestic Violence is a community issue that requires a community response. Chances are that someone you know is or will be impacted by domestic violence. Thank you for taking time to learn more about the complexities of intimate partner domestic violence and what you can do to help make a difference.

Challenge Those In Your Network To Join You

Consider moving through YWCA Spokane’s Learn & Give Challenge with your family, friends, or co-workers.  Setup a discussion group to talk more about what you learned and what you can do to help in the future. Below is a recap of the topics discussed during the “Learn” portion of the challenge, using Maslow’s model of human needs as a framework.

This Challenge also revisits previous educational series shared this year including our 14-Day Racial Equity and Social Justice Challenge as well as our Prevention At Home Series.

Support YWCA Spokane With A Donation Today

We launched a peer-to-peer fundraising campaign as the “Give” portion of this campaign. Supporters can sign up to create their own fundraising pages and invite friends to join. This effort is part of our ONE MISSION campaign which, this year, takes the place of our annual Women of Achievement luncheon. The luncheon is our most vital fundraiser of the year raising critical funds in support of over 17,000 women, children, and families served each year who are impacted by domestic violence, homelessness, and unemployment.

Consider making a one time gift today or starting your very own fundraising page in support of our ONE MISSION campaign, which looks to raise $275,000.

 GIVE Today

Thank You To Our Incredible Team!

Many staff members, community members, and caring organizations came together to bring you this impactful campaign. We hope that the ONE MISSION campaign and Learn & Give Challenge inspire you to join us in our work and mission at YWCA Spokane of eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.

Thank You To Our Sponsors

This campaign would not be possible without the incredible support of our 2020 sponsors. To learn more about sponsorship opportunities contact Dana Morris Lee, YWCA Spokane Chief Philanthropy Officer, at danam@ywcaspokane.org or call 509-742-0111.

Letters From Survivors

I hate the question, “Why doesn’t she just leave?” I have learned that we can’t affix a level of hardship to someone else’s journey. Every journey through and out of domestic violence is extremely hard. Some people do not survive. Some are left with lasting scars, physically and emotionally. Families…
