Briana Berner, YWCA’s Interim Director of Philanthropy

As we prepare for the retirement of our current Chief Philanthropy Officer, Dana Morris Lee, we are proud to announce Briana Berner as Interim Director of Philanthropy.

Briana has been a dedicated and mission-driven member of our Philanthropy team for over two years, and we are excited for her to step into this expanded opportunity. Briana’s leadership and passion will continue to build on the incredible foundation Dana has built over her 10 year career at our organization.

"Our incredible Philanthropy team is poised to continue this essential work with passion, expertise, and an unwavering commitment to our mission. I am extremely proud to announce Briana Berner as our Interim Director of Philanthropy. Her leadership, coupled with the generosity and dedication of this community, will ensure YWCA Spokane continues to grow and thrive so we can uplift those who need us most." - Dana Morris Lee, exiting Chief Philanthropy Officer

As we celebrate Briana’s growth and prepare to honor Dana’s incredible contributions, we recognize that this is a special season of transition for the entire philanthropy team. This new chapter is both a reflection of all that has been accomplished and an inspiring reminder of the opportunities that lie ahead.

The current financial and political environment reminds us of the critical importance of building a strong, resilient philanthropy program. We are deeply grateful to the philanthropy team for their dedication to leading this essential work with heart, vision, and persistence.

"With Briana's leadership we look forward to investing in the future of our organization — by growing new leaders, celebrating important milestones, and staying grounded in our mission every step of the way." - Jeanette Hauck, YWCA CEO

Please help us welcome Briana to her new role!
