Hour of Remembrance 2019
Honoring Those We Have Lost To Intimate Partner Violence
To close out Domestic Violence Action Month, YWCA Spokane invites you to honor those we have lost to intimate partner violence during our Hour of Remembrance Monday, October 28th from 5pm-6pm at YWCA Spokane. This event aims to remind us of the reality of intimate partner violence; that it is often fatal. As we began the month remembering why we end the silence, we end the month remembering what happens if no one speaks up and why we must continue to push for action and change within our community.
This event will be a safe space for closure, grieving, and remembering why we do this work. Refreshments and light food will be provided by the event committee so please come to socialize and support one another as we remember those we have lost to intimate partner violence.
This is a private event for YWCA Spokane Staff, law enforcement, advocates, and prosecutors who work with our clients.
If you plan on attending, please RSVP below.
