YWCA Spokane Names Jeanette Hauck Acting CEO

Welcome To Jeanette Hauck, Acting CEO

YWCA Spokane’s Board of Directors announces today that Jeanette Hauck, YWCA’s longtime Chief Financial Officer, will act as the organization’s interim CEO, effective immediately. The board is planning a national search to find a permanent replacement.

Jeanette has worked for YWCA Spokane for the last 10 years. During that time, she led efforts to update the organization’s financial plan, oversee significant updates to its financial and donation software systems, and develop a strategy to pay off debt associated with the construction of the combined YWCA and YMCA building on North Monroe Street. Other members of the organization’s Executive Leadership team have committed to assist Jeanette during this interim appointment.

“The board is confident in Jeanette’s ability to lead the organization, support its staff, and ensure delivery of critical services during this transition,” says McAloon, YWCA Spokane Board Chair. “In the midst of a pandemic, we need a leader with a strong financial and human resources background. We get that from Jeanette.”

“With a Y Woman like Jeanette leading the agency, I am excited for the next chapter of this agency as they continue to deliver exceptional trauma informed programs and advocate for policies focused on improving the lives of women, children and those most marginalized by society,” shares Regina Malveaux, Departing CEO of YWCA Spokane.

Congratulations To Regina On Her New Role

“My time as the leader of our beloved YWCA has been a time of remarkable growth and evolution, both for myself and for this great organization,” remarks ريجينا مالفو. “I joined the YWCA Spokane in 2013 as its first leader of color and it has been my great honor ever since to be a leader in our efforts to provide support and empowerment for victims of domestic violence, stand up for racial and social justice, and strengthen both the families and community that we serve.”

“We want to thank Regina for her service to YWCA Spokane and our community,” says Laura McAloon, YWCA Spokane Board Chair. “During Regina’s tenure, we were able to increase the number of survivors we serve and experienced strong growth in donations and financial support for our organization. We look forward to collaborating with her in her new role.”
