YWCA Spokane Names Jeanette Hauck Acting CEO

YWCA Spokane’s Board of Directors announces today that Jeanette Hauck, YWCA’s longtime Chief Financial Officer, will act as the organization’s interim CEO, effective immediately. The board is planning a national search to find a permanent replacement.

Jeanette has worked for YWCA Spokane for the last 10 years. During that time, she led efforts to update the organization’s financial plan, oversee significant updates to its financial and donation software systems, and develop a strategy to pay off debt associated with the construction of the combined YWCA and YMCA building on North Monroe Street. Other members of the organization’s Executive Leadership team have committed to assist Jeanette during this interim appointment.

“The board is confident in Jeanette’s ability to lead the organization, support its staff, and ensure delivery of critical services during this transition,” says McAloon, YWCA Spokane Board Chair. “In the midst of a pandemic, we need a leader with a strong financial and human resources background. We get that from Jeanette.”

Regina Malveaux, departing CEO of YWCA Spokane, will be joining Governor Jay Inslee’s cabinet as the new Director of the Washington State Women’s Commission. You can view Inslee’s full press release here.
