YWCA Spokane Announces Our 2018 Annual Report

YWCA Spokane is proud to announce our 2018 Annual Report. 2018 was a year of impact, courage, and tremendous growth for our agency. We are deeply grateful for our benefactors and supporters for their commitment to our mission. The support from our partners is paramount to our work, and we feel an unwavering sense of dedication from our community. Thank you to all who make our mission a reality!

Our Impact IN 2018

Adults, youth, & children utilized YWCA Spokane programs and services in 2018.

Survivors of domestic violence received the counseling, safety planning, housing, & legal
services needed to help rebuild their lives.

Adults, youth, & children received prevention, education, and intervention as well as advocacy support to help cope with trauma and develop healthy relationships.

Children and women developed new tools needed for success in life, including job and school readiness.

In 2018, 689 volunteers contributed 9,682 hours of their time, skills, and service to YWCA Spokane, a $222,679 value! Their invaluable support plus the unwavering dedication of 75 amazing staff members create a safe, trauma-sensitive environment that fosters opportunities for healing, empowerment, and the chance for new beginnings.

2018 Women of Achievement

Outstanding women in our community were honored at this annual community luncheon. With over 1,200 friends of YWCA Spokane present, we celebrated the 2018 Women of Achievement honorees (Sandra Olgard, Sandy Williams, Karen Winston, Sally Pritchard, Lisa Taylor Laurier, Lois James, Rebecca Long, and the dearly departed, Sister Celine Steinberger). Each woman epitomizes what it means to be a champion for our community.
