Adopt-a-Family Holiday Giving Program 2017
HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS
Many families walk through the YWCA SpokaneÕs doors looking for opportunities for a better tomorrow. During this holiday season of giving, 39 individuals, families and organizations have adopted one or more families by sponsoring one of the below holiday wish lists made by our clients and their loved ones, and helped us make this holiday season a little brighter for women, children, and families in our community.
We still have two ways for you to give:
Fulfill a stocking for our Safe ShelterÊand provide necessities and goodies for one of the women, children, or pets that will utilize our emergency services and stay at our Shelter this holiday season.
OrÊconsider sponsoring a furniture voucher and help create a new beginning in time for the new year for a woman and her children starting fresh after being impacted by domestic violence.
To donate a Shelter Stocking or a Furniture Voucher, click the links provided below for further instructions. If you have any questions, please contact us atÊ509-789-9307 or email hopefortheholidays@ywcaspokane.org.Ê
GIVE THE GIFT OF HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS BY Fulfilling a shelter stocking
This holiday season, dozens of women, children and pets will walk through the doors of our Safe Shelter, courageously leaving a life-threatening relationship and seeking a safe place to regroup.Ê Because of the nature of domestic violence, there is no way for us to know the names, stories, hobbies, interests, and comforts of these future clients as with the families above.Ê Families arrive daily.Ê We want to ensure that each woman, child, or pet who comes to us fleeing domestic violence this time of year has the necessities and goodies to help her feel safe and comforted.
