Hope For The Holidays 2024
Hope For The Holidays 2024
Join Us for YWCA's 9th Annual Family Wish List Program!
The holiday season is a time for celebration, love, and generosity. But for many families in our community, the challenges of domestic violence, homelessness, and unemployment can make it difficult to experience the joy of the season. That’s where your kindness can make all the difference.
Through our Hope for the Holidays Adopt-A-Family Program, we’re bringing light and hope to 90 families in need this year. Whether it’s a heartfelt gift, a much-needed item, or a gift card that empowers parents to select meaningful presents, every contribution helps spread joy and remind families that they are not alone.
Together, we can create cherished memories and fill homes with warmth and hope during this special time of year.
To best serve the unique needs of each family, our departments have tailored wishlists. Explore the specific needs of each program and discover how you can help. Prefer to make a direct impact? Consider donating online to support this heartwarming initiative.
Thank you for joining us in making the holidays brighter for families in our community!

Domestic Violence Safe Shelter All families have been adopted!
Our safe shelter provides a secure haven for survivors of domestic violence and their children, offering safety, counseling, case management, education, and essentials like food, clothing, and transportation. Learn more about our shelter.
During COVID-19, we adapted our holiday wishes to keep the shelter participants safe by reducing exposure, so we switched to gift card requests. This turned out to be a great fit for our program. Parents felt empowered shopping for that perfect gift for their kiddos, and the kids saw their parents providing for their needs during such a difficult time.
We've continued with this approach and request $150 gift card per family member. Walmart, Fred Meyer, and Target are the most frequently requested gift cards.
